Cormac Linehan

Cormac is a pet nutrition specialist and Founder/Managing Director of The Pet Experience. He began working with animals in 2006 and to date has over 20 years experience working in pet retail and nutrition. The Pet Experience pet shop and pet nutrition centre in Weymouth, Dorset was opened on 1st June 2007.

Since opening, the shop has won multiple local and national awards. These are an acknowledgement of it's position and reputation as a leading, independent business. One that has been helping owners select appropriate diets for their pets since 2007.

Cormac specialises in hypoallergenic and hydrolysed pet food. He is firm believer that the right diet, fed in the right amounts can help manage a wide range of common health issues with pets. Part of the service offered at The Pet Experience is the opportunity to have a detailed discussion about pet nutrition with owners. These conversations can cover all aspects of pet nutrition to help owners understand the relationship between diet and overall health.

A natural progression from opening the doors to The Pet Experience and providing a range of hypoallergenic diets to the pet owners, was to develop a specialist range of food under The Pet Experience banner. One that customers could trust and rely on. From this thought came our two own-brand hypoallergenic diets - Easterbrooks and Teepee.

Easterbrooks sits nicely alongside many other mid-range hypoallergenic diets currently available but at a more competitive price point. Whilst Teepee is positioned firmly at the top end of the hypoallergenic market. Offering premium quality ingredients and superior cooking/production processes. All manufactured in the UK using ingredients from known and trusted farmers with full traceability.

He is passionate about pet nutrition and welfare. Since establishing The Pet Experience, Cormac has completed numerous nutritional training courses provided by manufacturers and industry bodies. Furthermore, he is continually engaged in on-going professional development. Be it adding to his knowledge through nutritional seminars or travelling nationwide to attend factory tours and pet specific training courses.

Over the years, he has been a proud pet-parent to an array of animals! His small animal count is well over 20, having had numerous bunnies and guinea pigs. Not to mention a dozen or so dogs and cats with a good few goldfish thrown in for good measure!

When not talking in-depth with customers about all aspects of diet and pet health, he will normally be found running after his 2 young children. If any extra time magically materialises, he can normally be found on a bike of some sort, be it motorised or pedal powered!
