Specialist Cat Food for a Variety of Stages

Domestic cats today face a number of issues that can have potential knock-on effects on their overall health. Whether you have a senior cat, a sterilised cat or a cat that requires a low fat diet, getting their nutrition right is very important.

According to a recent Cats Protection Survey, approximately 85% of cats in the UK are neutered. A common consequence of neutering is an increase in appetite combined with a reduction in the amount of food required daily. In a nutshell, neutered cats can get greedier however they actually need less food than they previously did.

This situation is the perfect recipe for weight gain. Coincidentally, it is also the perfect time to introduce your cat to Teepee Connoisseur Salmon & White Fish cat food! This specially formulated food can help manage:

• Sterilised cat issues such as weight gain and appetite control
• Weight loss and Weight Management by being low fat
• Ageing and the problems associated with Senior cats

In order to help customers decide which cat food is best for their cat in a variety of situations, we launched Teepee Connoisseur Salmon & White Fish! Teepee Connoisseur is comparable to other top quality cat foods like Orijen, Acana, Eden and Canagan.

These foods are all cooked by steam and have a high meat content. Furthermore, all are grain free diets. However, where Teepee Connoisseur cat food stands out against these other foods is the lower price. The savings can be quite significant.

High Meat Content is Best!

Teepee Connoisseur Cat food has a 70% meat content. As a result of the steam cooking process, the finished product has a superior taste and smell to tempt even the fussiest of cats! By comparison, many cheap cat foods on the market today only guarantee a minimum of 4% meat content!

Go check the ingredients on the food you are feeding your cat now and see what it says. For further information on the pitfalls of feeding this type of diet, read our article on cheap pet food. You can then decide for yourself which type of cat food is best.

Cats are obligate carnivores. This mean that they require a high level of meat in their diet. With this in mind, it is easy to see why cats fed on lower meat content foods will normally require much larger food portions to satisfy them.

Furthermore, a 2021 study by the University of Exeter found that cats fed a higher meat content diet were less likely to hunt small animals. This reduction in hunting was further supported by increased play and interaction with the cat owner. As a result, their natural urge to hunt is satisfied.

Only the Finest Fish Ingredients Will Do!

Moreover, white fish is a good source of Vitamins B6, B12, Niacin and essential amino acids. Taurine is one of these key essential amino acid. It is crucial for a number of functions such as heart health, vision, immune system and pregnancy to name but a few.
