Hydrolysed Dry Dog Food
Hydrolysed dry dog food is one that has had the protein part of the ingredients chemically ‘broken-down’. Hydrolysis is the action of breaking these larger protein molecules into smaller components.
Amino-acids bind together to create a protein molecule. Consequently, hydrolysis breaks these amino-acids down into smaller particles. Furthermore, the word Hydrolysed refers to the end-result of that process.

How does Hydrolysed dry dog food help?
A simple analogy to highlight the benefits of hydrolysing protein is to imagine that your dog has a sieve, part-way down their digestive tract. This sieve is there to catch pieces of food that do not get properly digested (broken-down).
