Why has chicken and rice been a go-to meal for dogs with sensitive digestion for so many years? It is because it is an easily digestible and nutritious meal. Similarly, our Easterbrooks Adult Chicken and Rice dog food is complete and balanced. As a result, your dog can stay fit and healthy by getting everything they need from their diet.
A Classic Recipe
Easterbrooks Adult dog food is tasty and digestible, using responsibly sourced chicken. Furthermore, Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids help to maintain a healthy skin and coat whilst supporting joint function. In addition, Beet Pulp is used as a source of soluble and insoluble dietary fibre. As a result, normal digestive transit and motility are maintained. Yucca extract is used to help reduce stool odour. In other words, your dog’s poo won’t smell so bad! Moreover, added vitamins and minerals help to maintain a healthy immune system. Finally, all of these great ingredients are naturally preserved with Rosemary extract.
How much should you feed?
All bags of Easterbrooks adult Chicken and Rice dog food come with a suggested feeding guide. However, these are just that, a guide. The following factors can have an effect on feeding quantities:
- individual breed.
- metabolic rate.
- level of activity.
- neutering.
- age of the dog.
- sex of the dog.
- ambient living temperature etc.
As a result, adjust feeding quantities as necessary. Remember, no matter how good a food is, too much is no good! For example, over feeding will usually lead to poor digestion, soft poo and even coat or skin problems. Not to mention weight gain. Similarly, if you feed too little it will affect their ability to maintain a healthy bodyweight.
Easterbrooks Adult Chicken and Rice Breeder Packs are designed for households with multiple dogs or working/sporting dogs. If you do not have working dogs, reduce suggested feeding quantities by about 10%. Breeder Packs are Vat Free so can be a more cost-effective way to feed your dogs. Furthermore, all 15kg Breeder Packs contain the same recipe as the equivalent 2kg bags.

It was my lucky day when I came across The Pet Experience. I went in to buy my crazy, hyperactive 3 year old collie his usual bag of dried food & got into conversation with Cormac who was very helpful & knowledgeable. When I mentioned the food I’d gone in to buy Cormac suggested that I try Easterbrook’s. On comparing the ingredients I couldn’t believe how superior it was. I bought a bag & over the next week gradually introduced it. Archie loved it! Before he had no enthusiasm at all. His coat is now very shiny, it is easy to clean up after him & more importantly, he has become a much calmer more manageable dog. We were recommended to go to the pet experience from locals on Portland. Once In the shop, we came across Easterbrookes & could see from the packaging it was far better & alot more reasonable than other brands we have had before. All my dogs are given the same food & have never had any problems with them. My dogs have always been rescues ,& some when they first arrive are hyper , but they soon calm down when given Easterbrookes, as diet is so important.
Cormac is an encyclopedia of knowledge when it come to pet nutrition & is always very approachable & never pushy with his advice. I would definitely recommend the adult chicken & rice kibble. I have used Easterbrookes food for over 8 years now & I would never go back .

We have two collie cross dogs (Roxy and Tilly) and after we discovered “Pet Experience” and learned the ethos behind the Easterbrooks range of dry food, compared both the prices plus the ingredients and whats not been used to make the food , we took some sample to give to the girls. Both dogs appeared to enjoy the food, and since then we have not tried any other food, as we feel the girls are getting all they need nutritionally, we have had no issues with their digestion or any problems in that area, and with the convenience of the large packs, which when buying in multiple we can get sent to our address as we are not that local. We recommend this brand of food as owners and think that our girls would recommend this flavour to their friends too.

I’ve fed my dog on Easterbrooks for four years now and see no need to change. He loves it , and I love the value for money ! He is as healthy and as lively as I could wish, with firm stools ( easy to pick up ! ) and no upset stomach issues. I keep to the same flavour for him and he shows no signs of wanting anything else. The kibbles are firm right to the end of the bag with very little crumbling and waste. I even use them as his treats and he’s always more than happy with it.

I’ve fed my dog on Easterbrooks chicken and rice for over three years now and we’re both very happy with it. He loves the taste and is as fit and healthy as you could wish for and I love the value for money. He never suffers from stomach upsets and his stools are firm ( and easy to pick up !). The kibbles are well made and even at the bottom of the bag there’s very few crumbs ,dust or waste.

Our two staffies adore Easterbook’s chicken and rice! We have to use ‘slow-eat bowls’ to reduce the speed they otherwise would eat! We had a phase about 5 years ago when something was making them itch. With Cormac’s support and advice we easily weaned them onto Easterbook’s and have not looked back. They love the salmon and potato as well. Personally, I’m delighted at the value that the Easterbrook’s range offers. It is certainly cheaper than other complete food offering similarly balanced diet and the healthy shine on the dogs’ coats is the envy of many without the need for supplements (we tried those too). Now all we have to do is to stop one from barging the other off his supper!

Jimi a sensitive German Shepherd with a sensitive digestion is not only loving the chicken and rice version but also being pure black his health shows in his coat. Always noted when I am out with him is how healthy and sleek his coat looks and reminds me of what many women try to achieve hahaha Easterbrooks! Because he’s worth it.
Bessie the Jack/Springer is fed the larger pellets as well because she loves chewing on a bone and good for her teeth. Noted by the vet when guessing her age because she is a rescue, “she’s about 8 years old” with good muscle structure. Oh no! I have had her for 13 years and she had previously had a litter, makes her a little older than her health age of 8!!! Shows how important it is to consider the diet of your dog.
