First and foremost, cats are obligate carnivores. Not only do they want, but they thrive on a high meat content diet. Each piece of Teepee Connoisseur Kitten contains a whopping 70% poultry content made up of fresh turkey meat and chicken meat.

Moreover, to ensure maximum smell and taste, the fresh meat is gently steam cooked at 82c. As a result of this kinder cooking process, the protein is more digestible and easier on young, developing digestive systems.

An important functional addition to this high meat content and complete kitten food is taurine. Taurine is an amino acid that is essential for cats of all ages. It supports vision, heart function, digestion and immunity amongst many other key areas.

Furthermore, Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids EPA and DHA are added to support the early stages of brain and eye development. Whilst prebiotics are added to promote a healthy digestive system as young kittens mature and develop. Dried cranberries support urinary tract health.

Feeding Guidelines

All bags of Teepee Connoisseur Kitten food come with a suggested feeding guide. As a high meat content kitten food, feeding quantities will be lower than many other foods. However, the guideline amounts are just that, a guide. The following factors can have an effect on feeding quantities:

• individual breed.
• metabolic rate.
• level of activity.
• neutering.
• age of the cat.
• sex of the cat.
• ambient living temperature etc.

As a result, adjust feeding quantities as necessary. Remember, no matter how good a food is, too much is no good! For example, over feeding will usually lead to poor digestion, skin and coat problems. Not to mention weight gain.
